Book Nook Sales

Stock up for your fall reading at St. Martin’s Book Nook sales. Fill a bag with your selections for just $5. The Nook will be open from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of September from 4 to 7 p. m. on the second and fourth Wednedays. There are books for children and adults. You are sure to find a book or two for your fall reading. There are close to a thousand books to peruse, something for everyone.

Wright Twp. Zoning Hours

The Wright Township Board of Supervisors announces the Zoning Office hours at the Wright Township Municipal Building, 321 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop on Mondays from 9 to 12 noon, Tuesdays 5 to 7:30 p. m., and Wednesdays from 4 to 7:30 p. m.

Slocum Fire Dept. Hoagie Sale

Slocum Twp Vol. Fire Co will be having a having a Hoagie Sale October 1st Pick up is 10:00 am at the Fire Hall on Slocum Rd Wapwallopen. American and Turkey w/onion or no Onion will be made at a cost of $ 5.00 a Hoagie. Orders can be called in by Sept 27th. at 570-868-6255 leave a message for Ted. Vendor & Craft Sale

The Mountaintop Women’s Club is presenting a Vendor & Craft Sale on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 8 a. m. to 2 p. m. at St. Paul’s Curch on Route 309, across the street from the Wright Township park. Come rain or shine! The event will feature over 25 vendors, craft items. Basket raffles, bake sale, plant sale, and Rmmage Sale. There will be plenty of food, including hot dogs, wimpies, haluski, chili and more. Please come! Money goes toward community projects.

Nuangola Library Craft/Vendor Sale

The Nuangola Library, located at 5150 Nuangola Rd. in Nuangola Borough, is holding a fall Craft/Vendor Sale on Saturday, September 30 from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Featured this year will be fall themed baked goods, homemade soup to go, library themed basket raffle, a stunning afghan made by Rhonda Vickers and a lake themed photograph by Claudia Strycharz. Fall flowers and cornstalks will be for sale and seasonal crafts by our favorite crafters.

Crestwood Cheer Reunion

The Crestwood High School Cheerleaders will be hosting a pre game family friendly tailgate on Saturday, September 30, 2017 prior to the Homecoming game! Join us for a cookout during the parade and prior to the game to catch up with other cheer alumni and current Crestwood Cheerleaders! Cost is just $10 for food and beverages. Mountain Top Kite Festival

The Fifth Annual Mountain Top Kite Festival is on September 30th. This FREE event is co-sponsored by St. Martin In The Fields Episcopal Church. It is in the park across from the Church. It will start a 10 am and run to 4 pm. There will be food and drink available for purchase. Be prepared for a great time. Just to watch the kite your child has made send it soaring into the blue sky will become one of your favorite moments.

Chinese Auction

Chinese Auction on September 30th in the Park across from St. Martin in the Fields Church. There are many items to peruse and drop you tickets in the cans. There will be gift baskets, white elephant items, gift certificates and other treasures. This takes place during the Kite Festival and is sponsored by the Church All proceeds from the Auction will be donated to Ruth’s Place Women’s Shelter in Wilkes Barre.

Breakfast Buffet

Breakfast Buffet will be held at the Hobbie Volunteer Fire Company, 655 East County Road, Wapwallopen, on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 8 a. m. to 12 noon. The cost for adults is $8, children 6-12, $4 and under 5 are free.

Children’s Fishing Derby

Blytheburn Lake Association is sponsoring a free fishing derby for children 12 and under at the Lake on Sunday, October 1st from 10 am to 1 pm. There is no cost for the event or the food the Association will provide. Contact Felicia at 570-678-5261.
