The Crestwood golf team remained on top in the Wyoming Valley Conference with a 155-188 win over Wyoming Area on September 1 at the par 36 Blue Ridge Trail.
Crestwood’s Shane Angle too the medalist honors with a 38. Teammates Mike Golden, Jeremy Harper and C. J. Bono finished close behind, each carding a 39.
Angle and Harper each shot a 37 to share medalist honors in Crestwood’s 160-213 win over Coughlin on September 7.
Drew Barno carded a 41 and Olivia Donnini finished with a 45 in the win.
Lake-Lehman edged Crestwood, 3-2, in the very competitive girls volleyball match played September 6.
Scores were 25-20, 18-25, 23-15, 25-20 and 12-15.
Kristen Kania led the Lady Comets with 16 service points and 17 assists while Natash Geiser finished with 14 service points and five kills. Jordan Rinehimer contributed with in the win with eight service points. +++++
The Crestwood girls soccer team shut out visiting Coughlin, 5-0, in a Wyoming Valley Conference game on September 6.
Melissa Herrera led the Lady Comets in scoring with two goals. Sam Brumagin, Allie Stover and Megan Sypniewski rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece in the win.
Taylor Tomalinas recorded an assist for the winners.
On September 7, Crestwood defeated Pittston Area, 3-1.
Melissa Herrera had a hat trick to lead the lady Comets to victory.

lost the opening game of the WVC District 2 Class 2A field hockey season on September 7 to Wyoming Valley West, 4-1.
Crestwood’s Emma Janosczyk opened the scoring at 20:21 but Valley West quickly responded to tie the score at 1-1 in the first half.
The Spartans took control in the second half with three unanswered goals.
