LCCC NURSING DEPARTMENT HOSTS EIGHTH ANNUAL EDUCATION SUMMIT-The Luzerne County Community College nursing department recently hosted the eighth annual Northeastern/North Central Pennsylvania Interprofessional Coalition Education Summit. The summit was conducted throughout the northeastern and north central Pennsylvania region to enhance students’ knowledge of interprofessional education in the health care field. Students and faculty facilitators met to discuss a patient case study in relation to their roles in caring for the patient. The objective of the summit was for attendees to understand the roles of the interprofessional team and how they can work together to improve patient care and communication across many disciplines.
