Sarah Wiggins Kline
Loved Children

Sarah Wiggins Kline (Sally), 72, Nuangola, formerly Swarthmore, died Aug. 19, 2017, surrounded by her family.

Born Aug. 13, 1945, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Isobel Wiggins. Sally did not have any siblings but was blessed to have her cousins, Jimmy, Johnny and Susie Patterson, who were as close as brothers and sisters could be.

Sally was a graduate of Bartram High School and later attended Widener University. She loved children and her example can still be seen in the hundreds of students that she taught at Trinity Cooperative Day Nursery in Swarthmore where she worked for over 15 years. Sally also spent time working for Delaware Valley Association for the Education of Young Children.

Along with Judy Luzak, she was a co-founder of the Art Start program at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford.

Sally was always active in the community; she joined the Swarthmore Fire and Protective Association in 1986 as a firefighter where she became a life member after 18 years of service. She also served on Swarthmore Borough Council for four years. After her retirement, Sally moved to Nuangola, where she enjoyed her time on the lake taking sunset cruises on her boat and hosting numerous fun filled dinners and parties.

Sally lost her husband, Edwin H. Kline, just three months ago.

Sally is survived by her son, Edwin (Jessica) Kline; Sandra (Lance) Babcock; Margaret Laurence and Charles Kline. Sally had four grandchildren, Kortney Kline, Sean and Kayley Laurence and Chad Babcock.

The celebration of life was held in Mountain Top Presbyterian Church. In the true spirit of Sally, a party was held in the Nuangola Pavilion immediately following.
