The Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association asked for permission to use the borough’s recreation fields and demonstrated proof of liability insurance. Council voted to allow the association to use the fields.
Nuangola planning commission member Linda Fischer has resigned before the end of her term, which is set to expire at the end of 2017. Council is free to appoint a replacement sooner or to wait until December.
Council also announced that PP&L Electric will be replacing streetlight bulbs with LEDs at no cost to the borough, and it is possible that the borough’s electric bill will go down as a result.
