Dr. Andrew Kochuba of Mountain Top is set to marry Ms. Melissa Antaki on September, 16 2017.
Andrew is the oldest son of Leonard and Deborah Kochuba, Mountain Top. He is the grandson of Leonard and Ann Kochuba, Bethlehem, Marie and the late Dr. Joseph Campana, Linden, and the late Frank and Bettie Cortez, Mountain Top.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ann Caruso, Levittown, NY and Joseph Antaki, Port Jefferson, NY. She is the granddaughter of Joseph Caruso and his late wife Alice, NY and Edmund Antaki and his late wife Alice, NY.
Andrew is the 2003 valedictorian graduate of Crestwood High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Med and Biology from Muhlenberg College, Allentown. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He completed his General Surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. Andrew currently is a Plastic Surgery fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Melissa is a 2005 graduate of General Douglas MacArthur High School, Levittown, NY. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from University of Buffalo-SUNY, NY. She previously held a position as a neonatal intensive care unit nurse at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Melissa is currently a NICU nurse at Magee Women’s Hospital and a lactation consultant at Forbes Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Andrew and Melissa met while working at different hospitals in New York City. Andrew, then a Surgery resident, had just started his intern year at Montefiore Medical Center. Melissa was working as a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at New York Presbyterian Hospital. The two first connected on Match prior to their first date at Melissa’s favorite sushi restaurant in NYC. They remained in NYC until June of 2016, when they moved to Pittsburgh for Andrew’s fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Plastic Surgery. Melissa continues her career as a nurse in the NICU at UPMC. They have been together for the last six years and currently reside in Pittsburgh.
The couple will exchange vows on September 16th at the bride’s childhood
church, the Cure of Ars Church, Long Island, New York.
