In today’s world as technology becomes more and more integrated into our lives, we become more and more dependent on it. This dependence makes us vulnerable and subject to consequences that can be costly and devastating. It is important to be aware of the serious cybersecurity problems currently affecting technology.
The Marian Sutherland Kirby Library will host the program, Cyber Security: Internet Safety & Phishing presented by Ikram Muhammad, CISSP, PMP, CCNA, CEH on Tuesday, August 22 at 6:30 pm.
Topics to be discussed include cyber security vs safety, http vs https, phishing, malware, ransomware, online safety tips and free resources.
Mr. Muhammad is a graduate of University of Missouri and Wilkes University. He has resided in Mountaintop for twelve years and is currently employed as a Security Engineer at the University of Scranton. He has worked within the field of Information Technology for much of his professional career.
