Mary Regina Lukashewski, 87, Hobbie, died July 23, 2017. She was born in Ashley on May 1, 1930, the daughter of the late Herman and Helen Ceaser.

She was a member of St. Mary Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church, Dorrance, and a life member of St. Theresa’s Guild.

She was employed by RCA, Mountain Top, before retiring. Mary held the position of judge of elections for Hollenback Twp. for three decades, and was trained for emergency management in the 1980s. She was actively involved in her community.

Mary was an amazing, loving, caring, strong woman. It was a true blessing to be a part of her life.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph Lukashewski, by her brothers. Edmund Ceaser, Herman Ceaser, Carl Ceaser, George Ceaser and Bernard Ceaser, and sisters, Louise Keil and Rose Kutzmonich.

She was a special mother of five children, Joseph Lukashewski and wife, Irene, Pond Hill; Maryann Lukashewski Smith, Hobbie; Helen Lukashewski, Hobbie; Theresa Whitmire and companion, Alfred Hippenstiel, Millville; and William (Bill) Lukashewski and wife, Patricia, Hobbie.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Tammi Howard, Joseph Lukashewski, Brian Lukashewski, Irene Webby, Brian

M. Smith, Melissa Lukashewski, Kristina Barron, Amy Rooks, Tiffany Zucal, Andrew Lukashewski and Jillian Lukashewski; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Taney, Lime Ridge; and Margaret Lukashewski, Dorrance.

Funeral services were held from Desiderio Funeral Home Inc., 436

S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Mary’s Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Dorrance Township. Interment followed at the parish cemetery.
