An Invitation From Emmanuel

We at Emmanuel United Church of Christ would like to send an open invitation to everyone in our communities to come and worship with us. Whether you have never been to church or if you just stopped going, you are welcome to join us as we worship our Lord. Our worship service at Emmanuel UCC begins at 10:30 a. m. We are located at the intersection of Blue Ridge Trail and Alberdeen Road, across from Andy’s Gas Station. Please come and spend an hour with your Lord and Savior.

Join us for this spiritual practice celebrating the light of God within. Stress, tension, noise, emotion, & mental clutter often get in the way of what really matters: our relationship with the Lord. In this yoga practice designed for all levels, we will explore gentle movement to release tension from the body, introduce breathing techniques to balance & settle our energy, & spend time in prayerful meditation. Too often our prayers are comprised of talking to God. This practice is an opportunity to enhance your prayer life by spending time listening to God, receiving His Word on a very personal level. Scripture will be shared. God speaks. Let’s listen. Together.

Please bring a yoga mat, beach towel or blanket, & water. Dress comfortably & in layers appropriate for outdoor practice. I will bring extra mats for anyone who may need to borrow one. I can be contacted directly if there are any questions or concerns. Looking forward to exploring the Word of God together... Donations will be welcomed to help defray the cost and any remaining donations will support the church and its missions.
