AUTHORS’ TEA HELD AT ST. JUDE’S-Second and third grade students at St. Jude School held their Authors’ Tea in the school cafeteria to celebrate the publication of their books. These hard-cover, professionally bound books were the result of weeks of intense effort which included pre-writing, editing, and final copy. The second grade produced a class book entitled 2nd Grade’s Three Wishes. Each
student presented three wishes and designed illustrations for them. Some of the wishes included to go to a Keith Urban concert, to ride on a unicorn, to have a lifetime supply of popsicles, and to have Jesus come alive on the earth. The third grade wrote individual Fairy Tale books. Some titles were Gremlins vs. Fairies, Captain Thomas and the Dragon, The Freedom Fighters, and Abbey and Her 4
Pets. Refreshments were enjoyed by family and friends following the presentation of the students’ work. Shown, front from left: Jacob Hunsinger, Patrick Smith, and Michael Grandzol.
