Hunchback Of Notre Dame At Theatre At The Grove

Theatre at the Grove continues performances of Hunchback of Notre Dame at the historic venue in Nuangola July 21-30. Theatre at the Grove is located at 5177 Nuangola Rd. In Nuangola.

Showcasing the Disney film’s Oscarnominated score with remarkable new songs, this is a bold, highly-theatrical take on the moving tale of the scorned bell-ringer Quasimodo, the beautiful gypsy Esmeralda, and the dashing Captain Phoebus in 15thcentury Paris. Be prepared to be swept away by the magic of this truly unforgettable new musical.

The new musical is helmed by Grove Artistic Director Michael Marone with musical direction by Hollie Major. Marikate Sullivan serves as the production’s choreographer with assistance from Jamie Burns. Eyanna Griver takes on the role of costumer.

Starring as the bell ringer Quasimodo is Grove Theatre regular Tyer Saar. Tyler was last seen in Jesus Christ Superstar as Simon and starred in last summer’s production of The Little Mermaid as Prince Eric.

Alexa Martino takes on the role of the gypsy Esmerelda and Michael Wawrznynek portrays the plays villain Archdeacon Claude Frollo. Other leads include Karl Kleist as the comical Clopin and Adam Ercolani as the heroic soldier Phoebus De Martin.

The congregation of storyteller who portray dozens of characters from gargoyles to gypsy revelers include Jonathan Muniz, Louis Jablowski, Chase Pugh, Tyler Ocasio, John Toussaint, Maia Bagsusky, Marikate Sullivan, Eyanna Gruver, Katie Roarty, Jessica Werbin, Jamie Burns.

The cast of over 30 is accompanied by a live pit of 8 musicians.

A rotation of choir members also appear in the production to fill the stage with beautiful harmony in the large full cast musical numbers.
