14U Valley Regional Warriors Finish First In Pony Keystone Select Steamtown Sizzler
REGIONAL VALLEY WARRIORS took first place in the PONY Keystone Select Steamtown Sizzler national qualifier fastpitch tournament in Scranton. The 14U Valley Regional Warriors girls travel softball team opened its 2017 summer season with an exciting first place finish this past weekend. The local team participated in the PONY Keystone Select Steamtown Sizzler national qualifier fastpitch tournament in Scranton.

After two weeks attending and hosting 16U & 14U tournaments at their home field, Freedom Park in Drums, the team went 5-0 over this two day event. Three of the the five games ended in thrilling walk-off fashion culminating in a decisive 11-6 victory over the Robbinsville, NJ Rampage.

A total team effort of impressive offense and defense helped the Warriors in their come-from-behind and championship victories.

The team is made up of girls from Hazleton Area, Crestwood, Lake Lehman, Nanticoke, Panther Valley, Tamaqua, and Wyoming Area School Districts.
