Julius D. Rowles, 75, Mountain Top, died May 17, 2017, in Select Specialty Hospital, Danville.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, on Aug. 24, 1941, the son of the late Julius and Mary Ellen Kurovsky Rowles. He was a member of the graduating Class of 1959 of Ashley High School. He attended West Side Vocational Technical School, where he graduated as a master electrician.
He was proud to serve his country in the Vietnam War, serving with the U. S. Navy from 1959 to 1962.
Julius was employed as an electrician by CertainTeed Corp., Mountain Top, until his retirement in 1998.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 673, Ashley.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, the former Joyce Miller Rowles; son, Kevin Rowles; and daughters, Rhonda and Wendy Rowles. Three grandchildren also survive, Brianna, Jordan and Sean.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.
