Knights of Columbus

Mt. Post S. A. L. Meeting

The Mt Post 781 Sons Of The American Legion will hold nomination of officers at its next regular meeting on Tuesday, May 9 at 6 p. m. Offices are open to all members. To be nominated members must be paid for the current year and in good standing. They must be present to be nominated or submit a Letter Of Intent before the meeting. Mountain Top Social Club

The next scheduled meetings of the Mountain Top Social Club are May 9th and May 23rd. The meeting on May 9th will be at 1 p. m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Route 309 in Mountain Top. On May 23rd our meeting will be at the Sands Springs Country Club at 12 p. m. for our Mother’s Day, Father’s Day dinner. For general club information, please contact Janeann Lokken at 570-868-6895. The trip to Villa Nova on May 15th was canceled due to low response.

Ann E. Thomas Memorial Award

In 1976 the Nuangola Library hosted a group of area residents interested in discussing Literature, the Arts and current events. To qualify for the Ann E. Thomas Memorial Award we are asking for a minimum 250 word essay (typed and double spaced) describing the impact literature, the arts or music has had on your life and how you plan to incorporate these things into your life in the future. A cash award will be decided by the Nuangola Library Board. The scholarship is open to Crestwood Graduating Seniors only. Applications may be found at the guidance office. Fairview PTA Meeting

The Fairview Elementary PTA meeting will be held on Thursday May 11th at 6 pm in the school’s library. Babysitting will be available. Please come out and vote for the open PTA board positions.

Crestwood School Board Candidates Meet & Greet

Barry Boone & James Costello, Candidates for Chrestwood School Board invite you to a Meet & Greet on Friday, May 12 from 6 to 8pm at the Blue Ridge Golf Course Clubhouse, 260 Country Club Drive, Mountain Top. This event is free and open to the public.

Theatre at the Grove

Peter and the Starcatcher performances will take place at the Theatre at the Grove in Nuangola on May 12, 13 at 8pm and May 14 at 3pm.Tickets for Peter and the Starcatcher as $22 for adults and $18 for students. Craft & Variety Sale

Magistrate Candidate Stacey AcriMeet & Greet
