Judith D. Johns, 75, Mountain Top, died Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Mountain Top Senior Care, with her husband of 53 years, Charles, at her side.
Born in Centrailia, Wash., she was a daughter of the late Roylance E. and Alta Mae (Scott) Tyler.
Judith was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mountain Top. She worked as a registered nurse having retired from John Heinz. Judith enjoyed cross stitching and playing cards with friends. She loved gardening and ice hockey and especially loved and was devoted to taking care of her family.
Judith is survived by her husband, Charles; sons, Paul and Tyler; and daughter, Pamela Sampolski and her husband, Dennis, all of Mountain Top. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Julie, Kyle, Morgan and Brandon; two great-grandchildren, David and Lilly Mae; her brothers, Richard Tyler and his wife, Gloria, of Toutle, Wash., and the Rev. Edward Tyler and his wife, Julia, of Indio, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral was held from McCune Funeral Home, Mountain Top. The funeral service followed in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mountain Top. Pastor Michelle Kaufman officiated and Judith’s brother the Rev. Edward Tyler co-officiated. Judith’s family would like to thank the staff at Mountain Top Senior Care and John Heinz.
