St. Jude’sAnnounces Walking With Purpose

Women of the parish are invited to join Walking With Purpose –a Catholic Bible study for women that aims to bring women to a deeper personal relationship with Christ. The group will meet weekly starting Thursday, April 27 from 7 p. m. until 8:30 p. m. and go through Thursday, June 1. Please register by April 24. Bulk candy is needed for the annual St. Jude Easter Egg Hunt. Candy may be dropped off now through April 19 at the Parish Office. Peanut free candy only please! Candy should be able to fit inside plastic Easter eggs.

Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, April 19 from 4 p. m. until 5:30 p. m. to stuff Easter eggs for the annual hunt. This is a great way to earn service hours. Young adults are invited to Thirsty April 20, at Norm’s Pizza in Wilkes-Barre. Fr. Jeff will discuss how we are all made for relationships. Young adults are people in their late teens, twenties, thirties, single, married, divorced, or widowed, with or without children. Food/ social time from 6:30 p. m. until 7 p. m. The next Teen Mass will be held Sunday, April 23 at 6 p. m. followed by Teen Night for students in grades 7 -12. It’s an Easter celebration with an Easter Egg Hunt, food and games.

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Sunday, April 23 at 11:45 a. m. in the school gym/playground. Children ages 0 to 10 are welcome. Young adults (fifth grade and up) and adults are needed to help. The hunt is free to enter. A collection for the Mountain Top Food Pantry will be available at the door. The Feast of the Divine Mercy will be celebrated at St. Jude Church on Sunday, April 23 beginning at 2:30 p. m. All parishioners are invited to this special celebration.

Vacation Bible School at St. Jude’s will run June 19 through June 23 from 9 a. m. until noon each day. Volunteer registration is now open. Forms are available at www.stjc.orgunder the Education tab. Parishioners are asked to please consider helping out. .
