Close Encounters With Birds Of Prey April 20 At White Haven Area Library

A golden eagle, a red-tailed hawk, a peregrine falcon, a saw-whet owl and other live raptors will be on display at the White Haven Area Community Library on Thursday, April 20 at 7:00p.m. Presented by Bill Streeter, Director of the Delaware Valley Raptor Center, Close Encounters With Birds of Prey will be an amazing up close learning experience for people of all ages.

Streeter, who has a BA in biology and an MS in zoology, will entertain as well as educate the audience with the knowledge he has gained through over 35 years of studying and rehabilitating raptors, and through practicing the ancient art of falconry.

Tickets for the event are $5.00 and can be purchased at the library, located at 121 Towanda Street in White Haven. Seating is limited and tickets will not be sold at the door. For more information, call 570-443-8776 or visit the library Facebook page.
