Ruth I. Antosh, 82, Mountain Top, died March 26, 2017, at her residence.
Born in Mountain Top, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Moyer Frankenfield.
Ruth was a member of the Mountain Top Presbyterian Church. She belonged to the organization known as the Toastmasters. She played the piano in her younger years and was the captain of her high school basketball team. She got to see much of the United States traveling with her husband. She truly enjoyed all pets and gardening, especially flowers, but she was most devoted to her children and family.
Ruth was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Fred; sister, Lois Barbini; brother, Charles Frankenfield; and son-in-law, Anthony Groff.
Ruth is survived by her children, Gayle Groff, Wilkes-Barre; Fred Antosh and his wife, Jackie, Mountain Top; Joann Temple and her husband, Gordon, Tennessee; and John Antosh, Mountain Top; brother, Jack Frankenfield and his wife, Audrey, Mountain Top; sister, Margaret Magagna, Delaware; brother-in-law, Barry Barbini; her eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her one great-great-grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held in Mountain Top Presbyterian Church. The pastor, the Rev. James Shanley, officiated.
Interment followed in Albert Cemetery, Mountain Top.
