Jean A. Holko, 96, Nuangola, died March 5, 2017, at her home.

Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Urban and Mary Petrosky Urban. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1939 and was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish. Jean was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She was also a great cook and especially enjoyed baking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J. Holko; sisters, Anna Hess, Mary Meholchick, Alvina Manganello and Helen Urban. She is survived by her loving children, Stanley J. Holko and Gloria Chmielowski, both of Nuangola; grandchildren, Rebecca Wright, Clark, N. J.; Joseph Chmielowski, Las Vegas, Nev.; great-grandchild, Hunter Wright, Clark, N. J.; godchild, Marilyn Litwin, Harding; nieces, Susan Vroblefski, Plains Township; Linda Mantush, Drums; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral will be held at 9 a. m. Thursday, March 9, from S. J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a. m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, Hanover Township. Interment will be in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Muhlenburg. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p. m. Wednesday evening.

Jean’s family would like to thank Doctor Leonard M. Evans and Christopher Evans for all of their house visits and attending to her medical needs. Their care and compassion will never be forgotten.
