Pastor James Shanley, Presbyterian Church of Mountain Top, invites you to worship on Sunday, March 12, at 11:00 am. Pastor Shanley will be delivering a Lenten sermon on Following Jesus. Sunday School begins at 9:30 am with classes for all ages through adult.
Pastor Shanley will lead a weekly Lenten class on Words from the Cross. Classes will be held on March 8, 15, 22 and April 5 at 7:00 pm in the Sunday School classroom.
The annual One Great Hour of Sharing drive will continue until April 22. This year’s goal is $2017. Envelopes and Fish are available in the Sanctuary. See Rich Zeglin for information.
The Presbyterian Women will be holding their Spring Chili sale on March 8.All women are invited to help cook and fellowship from 9 to 12. Pickups are available in the afternoon until 6 pm. If you cannot make it the Chili will be stored in the refrigerator until Sunday.
The Deacons are expanding their HELPING HANDS Ministry. If you are interested in serving on the team either preparing meals or visiting shut ins and those needing a hand during a difficult time, contact Pam Zaprazny or any Deacon. This is an exciting way to serve God and the Church family.
The choir under direction of Bill Blannett practices Thursday at 7:00pm. If you are interested in sharing in this awesome Ministry of Music, just show up on Thursday or talk to Bill at church. The Children’s Choir, directed by Ceil Blannett and Susan Malkemes, practices each week after Worship for about 15 minutes.
2017 dates to purchase bulletin covers to honor or recognize someone are now available. A month’s supply of bulletin covers is $35. If there is a certain month you would like to purchase check with the office for availability. Flowers are also available to purchase for $35 for the vases or a special arrangement for the pedestal. Contact Allison Pekar to schedule flowers or call the church office.
Please continue to donate your food items weekly to be given to the Mountain Top food bank. Bins are located at the rear of the Sanctuary. The need is great for packaged items, mayonnaise, coffee and sugar and peanut butter.
Please continue to pray for our country and the new administration. The National Day of Prayer program is in the preparation stage. If you are interested in helping contact Linda Weaver. The National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 4.
Youth Group meets every other Sunday evening in Fellowship Hall. Contact the church office or Amy Randall for details.
