St. Mary’sAltar & Rosary Society Chili Sale Underway

St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Rev. Joseph Evanko, and Rev. Jeffrey Tudgay, Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.

Lent 2017-Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Catholic Church from age 14 onwards. Saint Mary-Fridays at 7 p. m., and Saint Jude-Fridays at 2 p. m. with SJS Students and 7 p. m.

Confirmation Student Information-Eighth Grade: March 19/20 and 26/27; and Seventh Grade: March /13. Please attend on your scheduled day. Questions for seventh and eighth grade should be directed to Mrs. Urbanski 74-6315 ext 228.

Offertory Envelopes: It is would very helpful if parishioners would put their check numbers, donation amount, and their name on their offertory envelopes. It saves time for the money counters and helps to record donations more accurately.

Cemetery: Please remove all winter flower/memorials from the cemetery by April 2. All remaining items will be discarded for spring clean up.

Nite at the Races-A wrap-up meeting for The Nite at the Races is scheduled Thursday, March 9 at 6:30 p. m. in the dining room. We will review this year’s evening and set a date for next year. Volunteers needed. Come join the fun!

Philadelphia Shrine Tour-Visit the shrines of Saint Rita of Cascia, Saint John Neumann, and Saint Katherine Drexel on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Bus departs from Old Country Buffet at 7:30 a. m. and returns at approximately 7:30 PM. Cost is $65 per person and includes bus, lunch, and admission. Third Annual Catholic Men’s Conference “Be A Man: Mary’s Call to BATTLE” will be held on May 6, 2017 at King’s College, Scandlon Physical Education Center.
