St. Jude’s Youth Sponsoring Pizza, Chowder Sale

The High School Youth Ministry will sponsor a Sanitary Bakery pizza sale and Valley Seafood chowder sale on Friday, March 10. The pizza is $10 per box for 12 square cuts in each box. Manhattan and New England Clam Chowder is $5 per pint in 16 oz. cups, and homemade by Valley Seafood. Seafood base used, no meat. Pre-Orders are due by March 3. To place an order, complete the form found in the church bulletin and drop it in the collection basket or at the Parish Office or email your order to pamurb3@gmail.com.Orders may be picked up in the St. Jude School Day Room from 3:30 p. m. until 6:30 p. m. on March 10. Please enter through the Day Room doors behind the school. Payment is due at time of pickup.

Spring clean up will take place on Wednesday, March 1 at Calvary Cemetery. All items need to be removed from the graves prior to March 1. Any remaining items left on the graves on March 1 will be removed and discarded by cemetery personnel.

Parishioners are invited to join the Social Action Committee at St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, March 2 from 9 a. m. until 1 p. m. Carpools leave from the Parish Office at 8:45 a. m. Call Jody or Artie at 570-710-0137.

If anyone is interested in donating the 2017 Paschal Candle in memory of a loved one, they are asked to contact Tracie at the Parish Office. The cost of the candle is $750.

On June 11, the Most Rev. Joseph C. Bambera, D. D., J. C. L., Bishop of Scranton, will celebrate the Wedding Anniversary Mass at 2:30 PM in the Cathedral of Saint Peter, Scranton, for couples celebrating their 25th or 50th year of marriage in 2017. Couples will have the opportunity to renew their marriage vows. A reception will follow in the Diocesan Pastoral Center, where anniversary couples will be able to have their picture taken with the Bishop. Eligible couples should give their names and a mailing address to the Parish Office (570-474-6315) by March 7.

The Diocese of Scranton Third Annual Catholic Men’s Conference will be held Saturday, May 6 from 8 a. m. until 3 p. m. in the King’s College Scandlon Gym at 149 N. Main Street in Wilkes-Barre. The conference theme is “Be a Man: Mary’s Call to Battle,” and will include Mass, Reconciliation, music, popular Catholic vendors, lunch, and time for reflection. All men of the parish are invited. It is asked that you plan ahead and register in advance rather than at the door. The registration website is www.beamanconference.com.The registration fee is $35 which includes lunch and coffee. Early bird registration is $30 if paid by April 15. Students are $15. are Monday through Friday at 7 a. m. and Wednesday at 12:10 p. m. Weekday Masses at St. Mary’s are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 8 a. m. Saturday Vigil Masses are 4 p. m. at St. Jude’s and 5:30 p. m. at St. Mary’s. Sunday Masses are 7:30 a. m., 9 a. m., 10:30 a. m. and noon at St. Jude’s and 9 a. m. at St. Mary’s.
