Crestwood Sports Scan

The Crestwood boys basketball team defeated Tunkhannock in a Wyoming Valley Conference game on January 26 with a 49-41 comeback win.

Kyle Richards led the Comets with 16 points followed by Kyle Gegaris with 13. Noah Jackson chipped in nine in the win.

Also putting points on the board for Crestwood were Kevin Klusewitz with six, Nick Andrews, three, and Lance Blass tossed in two.

On January 27, Crestwood handed Nanticoke Area a 43-29 defeat as the Comets easily dispatched the Trojans.

Klusewitz paced the Comets’ scoring effort with 12 points followed by Lance Blass with 10 points. Gegaris chipped in nine.

Also scoring for Comets was Richards with six, and Jackson, 2.

Crestwood lost to Danville, 54-48, on January 28.

Blass was the leading scorer for the Comets with 10 points. Richards and Klusewitz each had nine points while Gegaris chipped in five. Murphy and Andrews had three points each in the loss.

team fell to Nanticoke by a score of 66-49 on January 26.

Sarah Hopkins led the Lady Comets in scoring with 19 points.

Kate Snipas added nine points and J. Makowski chipped in eight. Also scoring for Crestwood were K. Andrews with three and Richards tossed in two.
