On Super Bowl Sunday, February 5,we will once again be celebrating our annual “Soup-er Bowl” Sunday. To help others enjoy a zesty meal, we’ll be collecting cans of soup to stock the shelves of the local Mountain Top Food bank at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Parishioners are invited to participate and help warm the hearts (and stomachs) of our neighbors. Bins will be located at the doors of the church the weekend of February 4-5. Please continue to bring non-perishable items to the monthly food collection.

A Retrouvaille weekend will be held at the Ramada Inn in Clarks Summit on February 24-26. This is a weekend program for married couples who may be experiencing tension, stress, and loneliness in the marriage relationship. The program helps couples, even those separated and divorced, to communicate better and resolve conflicts in their relationships. The cost for the program is by donation. Registration is required. On June 11, the Most Rev. Joseph
C. Bambera, D. D., J. C. L., Bishop of Scranton, will celebrate the Wedding Anniversary Mass at 2:30 PM in the Cathedral of Saint Peter, Scranton, for couples celebrating their 25th or 50th year of marriage in 2017. Couples will have the opportunity to renew their marriage vows. A reception will follow in the Diocesan Pastoral Center, where anniversary couples will be able to have their picture
taken with the Bishop. Eligible couples should give their names and a mailing address to the Parish Office (570-474-6315) by March 7.
