Presbyterian Church Deacons To Meet

Rev. James Shanley, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Mountaintop, invites to worship with us on Sunday, January 15, at 11:00 am. Pastor Shanley will deliver the message.

Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 am with classes for all ages.

The annual Congregation/ Corporation meeting will be January 15, 2017 after the worship service. All members are encouraged to attend to discuss the past years ministries of the church and visions for the future. All boards and organizations within the church are to have their annual reports submitted to the secretary so they can be included in the report. Emailing the reports to the church address is the most efficient way to submit items.

Pastor Shanley will lead Bible Class on Wed., January 11. The group will continue to study WORSHIP.

The next Deacon meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan 17 at 7:00pm.

If you are interested in serving at the Soup Kitchen on Jan. 21 from 9 am to 1 pm, contact Pam Zaprazny. Helping hands are always needed, and the ministry is so rewarding.

Please continue to donate your food items weekly to be given to the Mountain Top food bank. Bins are located at the rear of the Sanctuary. The need for packaged items, mayonnaise, coffee and sugar and peanut butter. There is a special need for pork & beans, canned tomatoes and red beets.

The choir under direction of Bill Blannett practices Thursday at 7pm. If you are interested in Ministry of Music, just show up on Thursday or talk to Bill at church. The Children’s Choir, directed by Ceil Blannett and Susan Malkemes, practices each week after Worship for about 15 minutes.

2017 dates to purchase bulletin covers to honor or recognize someone are available. A month’s supply of bulletin covers is $35. If there is a certain month you would like to purchase check with the office for availability. Flowers are also available to purchase for $35 for the vases or a special arrangement for the pedestal. Contact Allison Pekar to schedule flowers or call the church office.
