LADY COMET Sara Richards passes the ball in a recent Crestwood game. The lady Comets resumed their 2017 portion of the schedule when they entertained Dallas on January 3.

The Crestwood girls basketball team traveled to Hazleton Area on January 5 where they claimed a 56-47 victory over the Lady Cougars.

Julia Makowski scored a game-high19 points to lead the Lady Comets in scoring. Sarah Hopkins chipped in 13 points in the win. Kate Snipas and Andrea Shipton each scored two points

Adding to the point total for Crestwood were Riley Magin with four points while Sarah Richards and Andrea Shipton with eight points apiece.

On January 3, Crestwood rebounded to capture a 54-45 win over Dallas.

Hopkins led the way for the Lady Comets with 15 points followed by Makowski who tossed in 14. Shipton chipped in 10 points for the winners. Also putting points on the board for

the Lady Comets were Kate Snipas with nine, Riley Magin scored three, Ally Muse, two, and Sarah Richards added one.

Crestwood lost to Easton, 52-37, in a game played December 30.

Makowski was the high scorer for the Lady Comets with 15 points.

dominated by Hazleton rea on January 6, losing by a score of 62-30.

Kyle Richards led the Comets in scoring with 13 points followed by Kyle Gegaris with six.

Lance Blass and Kevin Klusewitz each chipped in two while Noah Jackson and Nick Andrews each added a point.
