The Book Nook at St. Martin in the Fields will be open on Saturday, January 14th from 10 am to 2 pm and Wednesday, January 25th from 5 to 7 pm. You will find many new additions to our stock; stop by and get some fireside reading material for these blustery days of winter.
January 21st is our Pork and Sauerkraut Dinner at 4 pm. This is a great feast of roasted fresh pork loin, sauerkraut, homemade mashed potatoes, gravy and applesauce. The dinner is $10. Our famous Welsh cookies will be for sale.
The annual meeting will be on January 22nd immediately following the Eucharist. The individual reports will be posted on our website and in the Undercroft.
Every month on the 4th Sunday, the 10 am Holy Eucharist will include a Healing Service. The date for this month is January 22th.
The St. Martin’s Auxiliary usually meets on the fourth Sunday of the month after the social hour. The membership is open to all members and friends of the church. This is a very active group. They work extremely hard to help the church financially and spiritually. They bake our famous Welsh Cookies four to five times a year and are responsible for the food at our Annual Kite Festivals (their bar-b-que got rave reviews). They also hold a Flea Market and Bake Sale every June. Last year the group had two dinners in addition to our Pork Dinner. A Ham and Cabbage dinner was held in March and a Meatloaf dinner in May. In addition to the dinners, the auxiliary sold pasties, pot pies and soup. The auxiliary is a vital part of St. Martin in the Fields Church and welcomes new members with open arms and an apron.
