George A. Kauker, 67, White Haven, died peacefully Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, in Celtic Hospice, Wilkes-Barre, surrounded by his loving family.
Born Sept. 2, 1949, in Townshend, Vt., he was a son of the late Albert and Elizabeth Kauker. He was a 1968 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from East Stroudsburg University.
He had worked as a carpenter in home construction for many years.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting with his son, nephews and friends. Many days were spent fishing, riding quads, going to the cabin and maybe an occasional beer or two.
He was a caring and thoughtful man, always ready to lend a hand to help someone in need. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Kauker.
He is survived by a son, Thomas and wife, Leeanne; grandson, Ian; sisters, Theresa Zacharias, Rachel Sensenbach, Betty Ann Mitchell and Mary Lou Vanderbogart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life was held at his home.

Yolanda Ebert, 65, Dorrance Township, died Dec. 11, 2016, at her residence.
Born in Glen Lyon on Aug. 30, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Clemeth and Emma (Gotcha) Zelinski.
Yolanda was educated in Nanticoke schools and was a graduate of Newport High School, Class of 1969.
She was employed by the Keystone job Corps Center, Drums, for 28 years as a head advisor.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church, Dorrance Township. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mountain Post 781, American Legion, Mountain Top, for 28 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Ebert Jr.
Surviving are her loving husband
of 41 years, Ronald, at home; a brother, Raymond Zelinski and wife, Sandy, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and a personal friend, Carol Lenti, McAdoo.
Funeral services were held at Desiderio Funeral Home Inc., 436 S. Mountain Blvd., State Route 309, Mountain Top.

Frederick C. Kuhl Jr., 67, Mountain Top, died Dec. 14, 2016, at the Smith Health Care Center.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Frederick “Fritz” and Mary (Dugan) Kuhl Sr. Prior to retiring, Frederick worked for the Dana Perfume Corporation for 40 years and most recently for Nicholas Trucking. He was a member of St. Jude’s Parish in Mountain Top.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his sons, Brian and Jeffrey Kuhl; a nephew, George “Butch” Williams; and sisters, Rachael Flaherty, Mary Duffy, Regina Karmilovich, Joan Garbush, Nancy Dougert and Patricia Bennick.
Surviving are his wife, the former Catherine Williams; his son, Frederick R. Kuhl, of White Haven; granddaughter, Calista Kuhl; stepgrandson, Robert Adams and fiance, Abby Young; great-granddaughters, Madelyn and Sophia Adams; and many brothers-and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated in St. Jude’s Church, Mountain Top. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
