St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Schedules Movie Night, Sights And Sounds Trip

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church announces Sunday services at 8:30 and 11 a. m. Sunday Church School begins at 9:30.

Office Hours are 8:30 a. m. to 12:30 p. m.

Family Movie Night will be Tuesday, December 27th featuring the classic , The Bishop’s Wife, starring Cary Grant and Loretta Young and David Niven. Henry Brougham is a newly appointed Bishop and is having a difficult time raising funds for a new cathedral. His wife misses their old neighborhood in a poor part of town and he is stressed and preoccupied with his new duties.

Philadelphia Sights & Sounds-Mark your calendar now as we plan to head into the city of brotherly love and enjoy some of the Christmas events the city offers on Wednesday, December 28th. We’ll start at the Comcast Center, head up to Macy’s for the light show and walk through Dicken’s A Christmas Carol. If time allows, maybe we’ll stop off, see the train display at the Reading Terminal and end our adventure at Franklin Square. This is an event for the entire family! Yarn Spinners are currently working on lap robes for St. Luke’s until the 18th of December. Marjorie Lou Anthony will take them over to St. Luke’s for distribution. We will continue to work on the prayer shawls and baptismal blankets for Pastor.

Please remember that the first Sunday of each month has been declared “Food Bank Day” and we ask that members remember those less fortunate by bringing nonperishable food items in order to keep up with the demand for food. Items currently needed are; Coffee, Peanut Butter, jelly, ketchup, dry soup, pudding and Jell-O mixes, and popcorn, pork & beans, canned tomatoes, canned soup, mustard, mayonnaise, tuna, macaroni & cheese and pasta (ex. Spaghetti), peas, canned pasta, and noodles.

The following weekly meetings are scheduled: Stress and Anxiety Management every 2nd and last Tuesdays of the month at 6:30; NA Meetings every Thursday at 6 p. m.; AA Meetings every Wednesday and Friday at 7 p. m. and Sundays at 7 p. m.; and Weight Watchers every Wednesday at 6:15 p. m.
