HOLY REDEEMER FOOD DRIVE BENEFITS ST. VINCENT DEPAUL KITCHEN-Holy Redeemer High School students collected food and monetary donations to benefit the St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen during the holiday season. Homerooms collected canned goods, non-perishable food items, and money to support the Kitchen’s efforts to feed the area’s hungry. Students collected over 1000 pounds of potatoes and over 2300 canned goods items, along with monetary donations for turkeys. The drive was coordinated by the school’s Student Leadership Council (SLC) as one of several community service projects conducted each year. Shown with some of the donated food items are representatives from the SLC and the freshman homeroom of Sister Susan Brown, IHM, which, for the second straight year, was the homeroom with the most donations during the drive.
