John R. Pavlick, 82, Mountain Top, died Nov. 7, 2016, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. John had been a resident at Timber Ridge Nursing Center, Wilkes-Barre, and most recently at the Hampton House, Hanover Township.

He was born June 7, 1934, in Plymouth, and was the son of the late John G. Pavlick and Pauline Doroskewicz Pavlick.

He was a member of St. Jude’s Church, Mountain Top, and was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Luzerne Council.

Prior to his retirement, John had been employed by WBRE television station and WNEP television station as a cameraman for a number of years, and was employed by the Francis Slocum State Park as a security guard.

John loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting with his wife, Charlotte. He also enjoyed photography as a hobby.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald, New Jersey.

Surviving are his loving wife, the former Charlotte Partington; a daughter, Ann and her husband, Merl Ebersole, Clarks Summit; three grandchildren, Christopher, Leah and Nicholas Wasnetsky; two sisters, Bernadine Martin, West Wyoming; and Mary Hofmann, The Villages, Fla,; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Jude’s Church, Mountaintop. Interment was in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Lehman Township.

Arrangements were by S. J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
