Christ United Methodist Church Offers Community Cancer Support Group

Rev. JP Bohanan, pastor, Christ United Methodist Church, 175 South Main Road, Mountaintop, invites you to join us for Worship on the Lord’s Day: 8:30 and 10:45 am. Children are always welcome in worship; those in kindergarten and younger may visit the nursery during the Sunday School hour (school year) and the 10:45 worship service. Holy Communion is served the first Sunday of every month.

“Open Table” contemporary service takes place 7 pm most Sundays, with Holy Communion celebrated weekly.

“Pounding the Pastor” Fall Food Drive is underway. Please bring non-perishable food items for our food chest, which benefits the Mountain Top Community Food Bank. We hope to exceed last year’s total of well over 1,000 lbs. of food collected. Items needed include coffee, tea, mayo, canned vegetables and fruit, canned pasta and soup, cake mixes, and sugar. Monetary donations also accepted. $1=1lb.

6th Annual “Trunk of Treat” will be Sat. Oct. 29 starting at 5 pm, providing a safe & fun environment for trick-or-treating. Face painting, food stand, games, & a costume parade. Trophy for the best decorated vehicle. Community businesses & groups are encouraged to enter a vehicle and bring goodies for the kids. To register your ride, please contact the church office.

Annual Turkey Dinner: Sat. Nov. 5th. Take-outs 3-4 pm, Dine-in from 4-7 pm. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Adults $9, Kids 5-10 yrs. $5, under 4 yrs. free. Candy & Fudge Sale by the Friendship Circle during the dinner.

Christ Church is offering a community Cancer Support Group meeting the last Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. Grief Support Group meets most Wed. at 7:00 pm.

Youth Group takes place from 5-7 pm Sunday evenings. Adult Choir practice is held on Thursday evening at 7pm, Bells at 8pm.
