Crestwood Cross Country Enjoying Excellent Season

The Crestwood Cross Country Team has had one of its best seasons in recent years. The boys have a current record of 9-2 with six opponents remaining with the girls at a 7-4 record. Both squads have been running outstanding times so far.

Coach Rob Moulton reports the boys have been led by Clay Kimsal, Matt Brunetti, Justin Glowacki, Spencer Riccio, Jake Swartwood, Matt Kelly, and seniors Brandon Andes and Aaron Keller.

The girls, according to the coach, have been led by Kate Sklarosky, senior Kate Snipas, Olivia Grozio, Daphne Belisle, Liz Katulka, Erin Hines, and Erica Carter. Clay Kimsal has led the team with a 14th place finish at the Cliff Robbins Invitational and a 7th place finish at the Bloomsburg Invitational.

“Every runner on the team plays a significant role in doing its best. They truly come to practice every day and work really hard. That’s the best thing a coach can ask for,” says Coach Moulton.

The team has two more conference meets followed by the Coaches Meet at Wyoming County Fairgrounds October 19th, and Districts at Lakeland High School on October 26th.

Moulton adds, “The team has made great improvements thus far and hopes to continue this pace into the most important time of the season.”
