LADY COMETS WIN-The Crestwood Field Hockey team prevailed 6-0 over Delaware Valley last week and showing her skills is Morgan Murphy.

The Crestwood field hockey team begins this week of competition with a 4-0-1 record.

On Friday, September 23, the Lady Comets cruised to a 6-0 win over Delaware Valley. Madi Granoski led Crestwood with four goals. Granoski tallied her first goal to open the scoring in the first half and added three more in second.

Arden Morgans and Emma Janosczyk and salso cored for the winners.

Katie Karpinski (2), Lauren Shiplett, Morghan Murphy, Jordan Olenginski and Sarah Richards recoded assists for the Lady Comets.

Keeper Marlee Dillon turned away Delaware Valley’s only shot to

preserve the shutout.

The Crestwood golf team captured a win against Wyoming Valley West, 159-191, on September 20.

Medalist honors were shared by Comets Mike Golden and John McGroarty with a 39.

In tennis, Crestwood lost to Coughlin, 5-0, on September 19. On September 20, Crestwood fell to GAR, 3-1. Abby Bielecki was a bright spot for the Lady Comets, defeating Dominique Cropp, 5-7, 6-4.

Crestwood lost to Wyoming Valley West, 5-0, in a tennis match played September 23.

The Crestwood boys soccer team crushed Hazleton Area, 8-1, in a game played September 19.

Kyle Gegaris, Hubert Herrera and Thomas Roberts each scored two goals in the win.

Also scoring for the Comets were Sean Murphy, and Matt Lacoste.

Crestwood had 19 shots on goal, compared to 12 for Hazleton.

The Crestwood girls overpowered Hazleton Area en route to an 11-1 win over Hazleton Area in a soccer game played September 20.

Bella Termini and Vanessa Atie each had a hat trick for the Lady Comets. Termini also recorded four assists.

Lady Comets Sam Brumagin, Halene Yencha, Tomalinas and Megan Sypniewski also scored in the win.

Crestwood defeated unbeaten Berwick, 3-2, in a girls volleyball match on September 20.

Scores were 25-11, 20-25, 26-24 and 17-25. The win improved Crestwood’s record to 3-1.
