Mountain Top Boy Scouts Recruitment dates: Pack 106 will be holding Scouting recruitment at Fairview Elementary School on Tues. Sept. 13th from 7 to 8 p. m. and also Thur. Sept. 15th from 7 to 8 p. m. Pack Cub Scouts can be boys in kindergarten to 5th grade, Troop Scouts are boys age 11 to 18 and also available Venturing for males and females ages 14 to 21. The Blytheburn Lake Association will sponsor a bass tournament Sunday, September 25th. Boats are to be in the water at 6:30 a. m. and out at 11 a. m. . The fee is $40 for 2-member team. It is catch and release and all bass must measure at least 15 inches to qualify. Boats must be equipped with live wells. Fifty percent of the entry fee will be given as prizes. St. Martin in the Fields is sponsoring the FOURTH Mountain Top Kite Festival on October 1st. This will be a fantastic event for “children” of all ages and the fourth one to be held by St. Martin’s in our area. Each child can sign up to build a free kite from a kit and then helped to learn how to fly it. There will be a kite flying exhibition by the Pocono Kite Symphony and a DJ will keep you entertained. Mark your calendar now so as not to miss out on this experience. A bounce house, face painter and a balloon sculptor will be on hand for more fun things to do. There will be a refreshment stand with a selection of items.
