Glen P. Rowski, 51, Mountain Top, died unexpectedly at his home, on August 16, 2016.
Born April 27, 1965, in Plymouth, he was the son of the late William and Helen Mrugal Rowski.
He attended St. Mary’s Parochial School, Plymouth, was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1983, and attended Luzerne County Community College. He had been a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth.
Over the years, Glen had been employed as an electrician. He was a member of the IBEW Local 163, electricians’ union.
Glen lived life to the fullest. His passion was riding his mountain bike, spending much time at Moon Lake State Park and Frances Slocum State Park, with his brothers, Joe and John, and many cycling friends. He was also an avid road cyclist. Most recently, he completed Endure 2016 bicycle ride for the American Cancer Society , and multiple rides supporting M. S. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
His greatest joy was spending time with his loving family and his beloved pet dog, Zoey, and pet cats, Tigger and Spike.
Surviving are his loving wife, Sharon Wood; sisters and brothers, Marsha Kocylowski and her husband, Harry, William Rowski and his wife, Florence, Lorraine Hartranft and her husband, Richard, John Rowski and his wife, Lisa, and Joseph Rowski and his wife, Christine; nieces and nephews, Laurene Carlin, Nina Herbst, Richard and Alyssa Hartranft, Alison Rowski, Lauren Rowski, Ashley Evans, Ashley and Patrick Wertz; great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and brother-in-law, Rulison Evans and his wife, Elizabeth.
Funeral services were held at S. J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
