SFC Nicholas Allen Siegel, U. S. Army, 35, of York County, PA, formerly of Stafford, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016.

SFC Siegel served honorably in the U. S. Army for 18 years, having served three tours in Iraq and one tour in Kosovo.

God called a true Soldier home on July 21, 2016. He was a friend, a husband, a fighter, a father, and a brother. Nick was a decorated war veteran who loved his country, his soldiers, and most importantly, his family. He made a lasting impact on everyone that knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Anderson Siegel; daughter, Christina Siegel; daughter (on the way), Genevieve Nicole Siegel; father and stepmother, Roger and Nancy Siegel; mother Melanie Crutchley; paternal grandparents Clarence and Marlene Siegel; brother Bryan Siegel (Melissa); father and mother-in-law, Daniel and Diane Anderson; sisters-in-law Jennifer Paterson and Beth Anderson; brother-in-law Jon Anderson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and other family members.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p. m. July 27 at Covenant Funeral Service Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 11 a. m. Thursday, July 28 at Spotswood Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
