Jerry Lee Nichols, 34, 1174 South Main Road, Mountain Top, has been charged were making Terroristic Threats. Charges were filed on May 11, 2016 by Officer Aaron Fromm of the Wright Township Police Department.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at 1 a. m., the victim, Amber Kaminski, came to the station to report that her ex-boyfriend, Jeremy Lee Nichols, 1174 S. Main Rd., Mountain Top, sent her threatening text messages and Facebook messages on that day such as “Better Call the National Guard”, “I already got your number, watch your every move, your next may be your last”, among other such remarks. During the time of these text
messages the victim did have an active No Harassment PFA against the defendant that is effective from March 3, 2016 to September 3, 2016. These threatening messages occurred between 11:30 p. m. and 12:15 on that date.
The victim does have fear and is unsure of whether or not the defendant will act on these threats, and the victim does have two children, ages 6 and 10, and currently pregnant with another.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled July 27, 2016 at 10 a. m. before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Swank.
