The summer Worship schedule is 8:30 a. m. and 10:00 a. m. Communion will be offered June 19th and July 3rd.
Office Hours are 8:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m., Monday through Friday.
Fireworks-June 19, between services, there will be a meeting for members interested in helping with our hospitality service on July 3rd during the fireworks display. We sell light refreshments to those persons viewing the fireworks on the church lawn.
Movie Night will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 6:30 p. m. “RISEN” is the epic Biblical story of the Resurrection, as told through the eyes of a non-believer. Clavius (Joseph Fiennes), a powerful Roman military tribute, and his aide, Lucius (Tom Felton), are tasked with solving the mystery of what happened to Jesus (Cliff Curtis) in the weeks following the crucifixion, in order to disprove the rumors of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem.
Free Christian Concert-Making A Difference Ministries along with St. Paul’s will present a concert featuring Eddy Mann National Singer/songwriter from Philadelphia at St. Paul Lutheran Church on June 26, 2016 from 6 p. m. to 7:30 p. m. Afterward there will be a Meet and Greet with the Artist and signing of CD’s. A Goodwill Offering will be taken to help with cost of travel. All are welcome.
VISION is coming August 22nd to 28th. We realize in the summer it is difficult for member to always come and make and serve a meal. This time we would like to open the opportunity for members to donate money to help feed these men on nights that no one has signed up for meals. Any questions, please contact Gaylene, 751-6144. Grow in faith….take the opportunity to join us for a study of God’s Word on Monday afternoons at 2 p. m. at Wright Manor as we continue to work our way through the New Testament., and Thursday afternoons at 1:00 p. m. at St. Paul’s. We are looking at 10 Important Events in the Bible-events covering the Old and New Testaments. Everyone is welcome….join us for one or both studies.
Yarn Spinners will continue to work on baptismal blankets for Pastor Michele and prayer shawls. If you need any yarn, please let Lois know. If any of you are talented in crocheting or knitting, or would like to learn, they cordially invite you to join them. If you can’t make their meetings, please call Lois Burge, the instructor, at 474-5502, and volunteer your talents by making the items at your own pace at home.
Board Game Day is every third Wednesday, at 1:p. m. at the church. Please bring your favorite game and a snack to share. Next game day scheduled June 15th
Sign up for DELICIOUS hoagies! Watch for the sign-up sheet on the narthex bulletin board. All orders must be in by the previous Sunday. The cost of the hoagies are $4.00 each. The sign-up sheet is on the narthex bulletin board. They’re available the 3rd Thursday of each month except December.
Please remember that the first Sunday of each month has been declared “Food Bank Day” and we ask that members remember those less fortunate by bringing nonperishable food items in order to keeping with the food demand. Items needed: Peanut Butter, jelly, dry soup, popcorn, canned soup, canned fruit, salad dressing, tuna, spaghetti sauce, canned vegetables, and tea.
The following meetings are scheduled every week: Weight Watchers Wednesdays at 6:15 p. m., AA Meetings every Wednesday and Friday at 7 p. m. and and Sundays at 7 p. m., NA Meetings every Thursday at 6 p. m., and Stress and a Anxiety Management support group every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30.
