St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Reverend Joseph Evanko, and Rev. Jeffrey Tudgay, Reverend Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.
Registration Education Forms can be found in the file holder in the vestibule of the church. Classes for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade are held at Saint Mary’s. Seventh and eighth grade classes are held at Saint Jude.
Catechists and Aides are needed next year at Saint Mary’s. For information call Mrs. Heller 570-379-2647.
Background Checks-PA state law requires employees and adult volunteers who work around children to obtain background checks. All background checks must be completed and on file in the office by July 1, 2016. If you already have clearances please send a copy to our parish office. Applications can be found in the file folder in the vestibule. For more information please call the office.
St. Jude Church Construction-Many parishioners from St. Mary & St. Jude attend Mass at both churches and our seventh and eighth grade students attend religious education classes at Saint Jude. Please know that the two entrances/ exits on Route 309 are closed. All traffic must enter from Church Road. The front parking lot on Rt. 309 and the Upper School parking lot will no longer be in use. There will be parking alongside the Upper School and behind the school.
St. Mary’s Bazaar will be held June 25 and 26, Saturday from 4-11 pm and Sunday from 4-10 p. m. Entertainment on Saturday will be Jeanne Zano band from 7-11 pm, and Sunday Rock U from 5-9 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 4 pm, and Sunday at 9 am.
Help Wanted! A few booth stand chairs and people who can work a stand for just a few hours are needed. Please call the office if you can help.
Rummage sale items, truckload of groceries, food prep items, dime pitch, and game prizes are being accepted. Donations will be accepted during office hours and weekends. Food Prep items: spaghetti sauce & paste, spices (salt, pepper, oregano, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, etc), clams, clam juice, rice, kidney beans, bottled water, soda, & canned tomatoes. Rummage Sale -Softly used items only. Pharmaceuticals, make up, personal hygiene items, clothing, shoes, or stuffed animals will not be accepted.
Other Donations being accepted -SpiritsfortheTRaffle, Winefor Wine Wheel, Hand Craft, and Theme Baskets. These items donations need to be dropped off at the parish office during office hours or call to arrange a convenient drop off time.
Bake Sale: All parishioners are asked to make/bring something for the Bake Sale. Grounds cleanup and set up -Help is needed on Monday, June 20 beginning at 4 p. m. Food and beverages available. Jobs for all ages & abilities.
Office hours are Monday and Wednesday , 9 a. m. to 1 p. m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 9 p. m. to 3 p. m.
During the next two weeks there will be days when Molly has to run for picnic supplies. It would be best to call the office prior to your visit.
