MUSIC TEACHERS ATTEND CELEBRATION-The North East Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association Birthday Celebration was held recently. The group enjoyed the Grand Buffet including dessert table, and birthday cake. After singing to Ray Cramer, NEPMTA presented him with a replica of a grand piano on a small stage, all completely made out of money. The gift was handcrafted by Linda Johnson, art teacher at Holy Redeemer H. S., Wilkes-Barre. Each member individually spoke to Mr. Cramer about the impact he has made on their teaching careers as piano instructors. Ray Cramer was instrumental in the founding of the NEPMTA in the 1960’s and has subsequently held various offices, both on the local and state levels. He serves as an adjudicator for National Guild of Piano Teachers and has judged numerous Music Teachers National Association competitions throughout the country. He currently maintains a piano teaching studio in Dalton, Pa. where he resides.
