Crestwood Boys Lacrosse Team Defeats Dallas, Lake Lehman

The Crestwood Comets Boys Lacrosse Team defeated the Dallas Mountaineers on Tuesday, April 26.

The Comets got out to an early 4-0 lead only to have the Mountaineers soar back with three goals of their own to close the first quarter out in a 4-3 bout. The Comets added four more in the second to the Mountaineers two closing out the half with a score of 8-5.

Crestwood was able to maintain ball control throughout the 2nd half allowing them to end on top with a final score of 10-7. Ryan Magin was the Comets leading scorer with five goals and three assists followed by Zach Anderson and Lance Lysiak with two goals each and Jacob Maher with one.

Crestwood’s defense was led by Connor Keenan and Johnny Macri. Matthew Tirpak went 10 for 14 on face-offs with the help of Tanner Kahlau’s long stick midfield efforts.

On April 28, Crestwood defeated the Black Nights of Lake Lehman.

The Comets scoring was led by Anderson with four goals, with Lysiak and Magin adding three more each. Lance Blass chipped in with one. Crestwood assist leader on the day was Lysiak with three and Kyle Richards with one.

Quinn Roberts and Liam Stone shared goal tending responsibilities for Crestwood where Roberts had three saves and Stone added eight.

The Crestwood Comets Boys Lacrosse Team hosted the Blue Knights of Wyoming Seminary on April 30.

The Blue Nights jumped out to an early lead and maintained control for most of the game.

The Comets were able to get within 1 goal in the last few minutes but a few miscues allowed Sem to regain possession as the clock ticked down to a 15-13 final in favor of Wyoming Seminary.

Crestwood Scoring was led by Magin with 6 and Anderson with 5. Lysiak and Tirpak added 1 goal apiece.

The Comets fall to 8-5 overall (5-1 Conference).
