Fairway Subaru Shares The Love With Make-A-Wish® DonationCONSTRUCTION AUTOMOTIVEWE

Fairway Subaru recently presented its Hometown Charity check of more than $7,000 to Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia as part of Subaru’s 2015 “Share the Love” event.

This is the 5th year Fairway has supported the local Make-A-Wish chapter, gifting a total of more than $25,000 and granting nearly 7 wishes in the greater Hazleton area.

From Nov. 19 2015 to Jan. 2, 2016, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250. At the end of this event, Subaru of America, Inc., and its participating retailers will have donated over $65 million to a number of worthy causes through the “Share the Love” event –including the local Make-A-Wish chapter.

The most common misconception about Make-A-Wish is that it only provides wishes for dying children. To the contrary, Make-A-Wish fulfills wishes for children living with life-threatening medical conditions and believes that a wish experience fills its families with hope, strength and joy.

Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children, aged 2 to 18, with life-threatening medical conditions. Currently, the local chapter is one of the most active in the country, having fulfilled nearly 17,000 wishes.
