Relay For Life Meeting

Mountain Top Relay for Life will hold it’s next meeting on March 2nd at 6pm in the Crestwood High School Library/Media Center. Relay is looking for teams for this year’s event. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please help us reach our Million Dollar Mark this year! The Relay will be held on May 14th. Call Regina Kloeker with questions or for more info 570-417-4047.

Rice Book Fair, Family Fun Night

Please join us on March 2nd from 5:30 to 8:00 for our Book Fair and Family Fun Night. Shop the book fair in the large group room and enjoy games and ice cream in the gym. Baseball Booster Club

The Crestwood Baseball Booster Club will hold its next meeting on March 3, 2016 at 6:30pm in the downstairs area of Kings Pizza. Baseball season is now upon us so please join us if your student will be playing baseball this year. The booster club is in need is additional members to organize events and fundraisers.

Spaghetti Dinner

The Christed UMC United Methodist Men will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday March 5. Pre-sale tickets will be available from the men, or you may make a reservation through the office. Take-outs will be from 3-4 pm, Dine-in from 4-6:30 pm. $7 Adult, $3 ages 5-12, under 5 Free.

Inside Flea Market, Pizza Sale

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, located at 316 S. Mountain Blvd. in Mountain Top, will hold an Inside Flea Market and Pizza Sale on Saturday, March 5th. The Flea Market will be held from 8 a. m. to 2 p. m. and will be filled with vendors selling antiques, collectibles, jewelry and craft items. There will be items for sale to benefit the Luzerne County SPCA, as well. The pizza sale will be held from 12:00 to 2 p. m. Please call the church at 570-474-6616 to order pizza.

Jr. Comets Head Coach Needed

The Mountaintop Junior Comets are asking that all persons interested in being a HEAD coach for the 2016 season submit a letter of intent, stating the position/team you would like to coach to Junior Comets President, Jim Shedlock, at jim.shedlock@gmail.comby March 6, 2016. No letters of intent will be accepted after that date.

Ham & Cabbage Dinner

A Ham and Cabbage Dinner will be held at American legion post 781, Henry Drive, Mountaintop, on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 4 to 7 p. m. Donation is $8. Children 6 to 12, $4, and children under 6 are fee. Eat in or take out. Menu: ham & cabbage, potatoes, green beans, rolls & butter, dessert and coffee. The dinner is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary.

Senior Lock-In Benefit Bingo

Bingo to Benefit the Senior Lock-In will be held Sunday, March 6th, 2016 at the Crestwood High School Cafeteria. Bingo begins at 1 p. m. Doors open at 12noon. Cost is $20 per Ticket includes 20 games-Extra Books available for $10 each. Food, Drinks, Raffles, Door Prizes and 50/50 too! Kids are welcome to play when accompanied by an adult. Vendors/Prizes on board include: Tastefully Simple/ Vera Bradley/Longaberger/ Penguins Hockey/Movies 14/ Steve Shannon/AVON/a TV from Scott Stasko Nationwide Insurance/ Petal Park/ La Tolteca/Temp-Tations Pottery Bowl with Italian meal and many more added daily!

Women’s Club Meeting

General Federated Women’s Club of Mountaintop will hold its monthly meeting will be held on Monday night, March 7 at Christ United Methodist Church. Please note the change of day and place. The meeting will start at 6:30 p. m. Guest speaker Susan Timchack will be demonstrating how to make Easter cards. The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome!!! Boys Basketball Booster Club
