Adult Programs Scheduled At Marian Sutherland Kirby Library

Marian Sutherland Kirby Library announces the following adult programs have been scheduled.

The library will host a Socrates Café on Wednesday, February 24 at 6:30 pm. Individuals with inquisitive minds welcome!

Socrates Café is a gathering where people from different backgrounds get together and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences while embracing the Socratic Method. The group models their discussions from the book of the same name by Christopher Phillips.

Come prepared to discuss important ideas thoughtfully and honestly, to respectfully question the ideas of others, and to carefully examine what you perceive to be logical inconsistencies.

The discussion will be facilitated by Steve Wallace who participates inseveral Socrates Café groups locally. The discussion will take place in theReading Room of the library. Thelibrary is located at 35 Kirby Ave., Mountaintop. Call 570-474-9313 formore information.

Color Me Calm! -Adults areinvited to an evening of coloring andcreativity while exercising fine motorskills and stimulating the brain. Joinus on Wednesday, March 9, 6:00 to7: 30 to color your way to a state ofcalmness. Coloring sheets, crayons, markers, and pencils will be availableto use or you can bring your own. This month there will be some Celticand Easter coloring pages available.
