New Altar Service Class March 2, 9At St. Mary’s

St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Reverend Joseph Evanko, and Rev. Jeffrey Tudgay, Reverend Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.

New Altar Server Class-All children in third grade and older who have received their First Holy Communion are invited to become altar servers. Father Jeff has scheduled classes for Wednesday, March 2 and 9, from 6-7 p. m. Families choose to be added to the Saturday or Sunday schedule. Please call the office to register.

The next Youth Group meeting is Sunday, February 21 from 6-8 p. m. in the dining room.

Veteran Collection-The Youth Group will continue the collection until February 28.

Winter Weather-For everyone’s safety, if the Crestwood School District cancels classes, or has a delay due to inclement weather, daily Mass is cancelled. This information is on all local television stations usually prior to 6:30 a. m. Please note weekend Masses and Holy Day Masses are not cancelled.

Operation Rice Bowl -Hungering for Opportunity. Rice Bowls are at all exits. They are due by April 3.

Wedding Anniversary Celebration 2016-His Excellency, the Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera, D. D., J. C. L., Bishop of Scranton, and the Office for Parish Life invite couples celebrating their 25th or 50th wedding anniversary in 2016 to a diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, June 5. To register or for more information call the parish office by March 4.

Adult Education Series Starts next Week. Father Jeff invites all parishioners to a lecture series on: The Church according to Vatican II. Saint Jude: Sundays at 4 p. m. in St. Jude cafeteria on Feb 21 and 28 and Mar 6 an 13; Saint Mary: Tuesdays at 6:30 p. m. in the Church on Feb 23 and Mar 1, 8, and 15.

Bazaar 2016 June 25 & 26-A Bazaar meeting will be held on Thursday, February 25 at 7p.m. in the dining room. ALL are invited to come and help plan this event. Bring a friend and get information on cochairing a stand together. Please call the parish office if you would like to chair or co-chair a stand but cannot make the meeting.

Spring Cleaning? Keep us in mind! We will take your softly used household items for our flea market.

Crafters! We are accepting donations of your hand crafted treasures all year. Woodworking, painting, jewelry, wreaths, needle work -we love it all. Please drop items off at the office or bring them to Mass.
