CACE Registration

Crestwood Area Community Education is having In-Person Registration on Wednesday, February 17 from 6:00-7:30 PM in the High School Cafeteria. Please come out to register early for some of the following classes, Pottery, Massage Therapy, Watercolors, Crocheting, and many more.

Spaghetti Dinner

VFW Post 6615 of White Haven will host an All You Can Eat Spaghetti Dinner on Feb. 17, 2016 from 4 pm –7 pm. Cost is $8 and $8.50 for take out. VFW Post 6615 is located at 3 Veteran , Rd., White Haven.

Little League Baseball, Softball Registration

Baseball & Softball programs for boys & girls ages 4 thru 18, must turn age 4 prior to August 31, 2016 in order to play. Anyone who lives in the Mt Top Area, or attends school in the Crestwood School District is eligible to play. Saturday, February 20th –1 p. m. until 3 p. m. Final Registration Date in Crestwood Middle School Cafeteria. There is a $20 late fee after the final sign up date. For additional information or to register by mail call 570-823-7949. Legion Baseball Registration

Mountain Post 781 American Legion Baseball Sunday, February 21 from 1 to 3 p. m. at Post 781 in Mountaintop. Boys age 13-18 residing in Wright, Fairview, Dorrance, Hollenback, Dennison, Rice and Slocum townships as well as Nuangola Borough, Penn Lake and White Haven Borough are eligible to register. Players must attend the registration with one parent and bring their health insurance information along with a copy of their birth certificate. Mountaintop Social Club

The Mountaintop Social Club will be holding a meeting on February 23rd. The meetings are held at the Father Nolan Center at St. Jude’s School in the Day Room (entrance is in the back of the school) Anyone 55 years and older are welcome to join us. Doors will open at 3:15p.m. The 2016 trip schedule is finalized. Please join us at our meetings to see if you may be interested in any or all of them. Library Easter Egg Fundraiser

The Kirby Library will have Leda’s Home Made Chocolate Easter Eggs for sale. The eggs are still $1.25 each and are available in milk and dark chocolate. Stop in at 35 Kirby Ave., Mountaintop to purchase directly or pick up an order form for Easter delivery. Orders must be in by Tuesday, March 8 and payment is required with the order. Orders will be available for pick up at the library Thursday, March 17 during business hours. For more information call 570-474-9313.

Welcome Club Basket Assembly Meeting

Mountain Top Welcome Club is hosting a Basket Assembly Meeting Thursday Feb 18th at 12:00 noon at the Presbyterian Church 9 Chestnut St. Pizza lunch will be provided at no charge to thank our member’s for all of their support in preparing for the Night at the Races event. During the meeting we will be assembling the raffle gift baskets. Donations of new items for the gift baskets will be greatly appreciated. Dodgeball Tournament

The Crestwood Baseball Booster Club is sponsoring their 2016 Dodgeball Tournament at the Crestwood High School gymnasium on Friday, February 26, 2016. Doors open at 5:30pm and the event is open to the public. Admission cost is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. All proceeds benefit the Crestwood baseball program grades 7 -12. Middle School students who are participating should give their team information and waivers to Mrs. Dombroski in the MS office by Thursday, February 18th. High School students who are participating should give their team information and waivers to Mrs. Rozitski in room 58 by Thursday, February 18th.
