Altar Server Classes -Father Jeff has scheduled New Altar Server Classes on Wednesdays, March 2 and 9, from 6-7 p. m. in the Church. Please call the parish office to sign up or for more information.

St. Theresa’s Valentine Luncheon-Members of Saint Theresa’s Guild will have their Valentine Luncheon on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 1p.m. at Sand Springs Country Club in Drums. Cost is $22 per person. Invitations have been sent to members. RSVP by Jan. 31 to Molly with your choice of soup or salad. There will be an optional $5 edible or drinkable exchange. Remember your “Secret Pal” gift ($25).
The Knights of Columbus Sweethearts’ Dance will be held on Sat., Feb. 6 at 6 p. m. in the social hall. Cost is $20 per person. Tickets are available after Mass or from any Brother Knight.
Altar & Rosary Society’s Valentine Treats for Shut-ins-The members of the A & R Society are collecting, baking, and packaging cookies for our shut-ins. Parishioners are invited to help with this project. Cookies will be packed on Saturday, February 13 at 11 a. m. in the rectory. Cookies and treats may be dropped off that morning or for your convenience during the week in the meeting room or the parish office.
Youth Group will meet Sunday, January 31 from 6-8 p. m. in the dining room. Confirmation candidates, we will be reviewing questions, assisting with journaling, and helping prepare you for Confirmation. Get information from students who have already received this beautiful sacrament.
The Boy Scouts will host a Blood Drive on Sunday, March 13 from 10 a. m. to 3 p. m. at St James Church in Hobbie. One donation can help to save up to three lives! Call 1-800-RED CROSS to donate.
Scout Sunday will be celebrated in our Church on Sunday, February 7. Any Boy Scout or Girl Scout who would like to participate in the Mass must call Donna Novicki at 570-417-3216 by January 27.
Save the Date-Fr. Joe will be celebrating his 25th anniversary of ordination to the Priesthood on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 3 p. m.. Due to the ongoing construction of our new church and need of air conditioning at that time of year, the Mass of Thanksgiving for his vocation willbeatFr. Joe’shome parish in Hazleton (St. Joseph Church) followed by a reception at Genetti’s of Hazleton. More information will follow.
The Youth Group is collecting items for the Wilkes-Barre VA Hospital. Items will distributed to veterans in need. Boxes are in church and the social hall. Needed items. Clothing: new socks, underwear, shirts, pants, & jackets for men and women. Home goods: new towels, sheets, pots, pans, utensils, etc Recreational items: books, puzzles, sketch pads, paint by # kits, word finds, large-print playing cards, etc., Hygiene items for men and women -no hotel samples, Gift Cards to restaurants, Target, and Walmart.
The students will have a “Bake Sale” February 6 and 7 to raise money to purchase items.
Adult Education Series-Father Jeff invites all parishioners to a lecture series on The Church according to Vatican II. The series will be held at St. Jude Sundays at 4 p. m. in the cafeteria on Feb 21 and 28 and Mar. 6 and 13 and at St. Mary’s on Tuesdays at 6:30 p. m. in the Church Feb. 23 and Mar. 1, 8, and 15.
