Guests At Mountaintop Senior Center Receive Gifts

Jo Gulvas, Independent Sales Director with MaryKay, joined forces with several local businesses this year and would like to thank them for their help with not forgetting their history in their own back yard and paying homage with the Adopt A Grandparent Program-Operation Everyone Gets a Gift! This goal could not have been accomplished by Jo herself.

The Mountain Top Senior Living Center usually has 32-35 residents in their assisted living facility, however, Jo learned this year from the amazing Director of Activities, Joanne Stewart, that she was only getting the one side of the living center.

Jo explains she asked many residents there were in total this year and the number in-house for Christmas was staggering 91 residents! Along with the Mountain Top Rotary, whose generous donation allowed Jo to finish the job she started, as well as the help of selfless business owners Alan and Kathy Zurawski of Mountain Top Family Chiropractic, and Jon Andrews, DDS, who practices at 87 E. Main St. in Plains, who is an active member in the Mountaintop community, the project was finished with each resident receiving a gift which for many it was their only Christmas gift. Kathy Sarna, along with her two

boys, provided their therapy dog, Zoe for some much needed visits with the residents.
