Crestwood JV Hockey Team Splits First Half Of Season

Crestwood JV ice hockey team played a trio of games before the Christmas break. First was against Back Mountain on December 5th at Revolution Ice Center in Pittston. Crestwood finished the first period with two goals, each unassisted, by Ryan Harding and Kevin Frisbie to take a 2-1 lead over Back Mountain. Back Mountain answered with a tying goal in the second period. Crestwood was able to break the stalemate with a game-winning goal by Frisbie, assisted by Kyle Katra.

The goal was tended by Stone Magna.

The second game was against Wyoming Area on December 14th at Coal Street. Chase Govan scored, assisted by Frisbie during the first period.

Unfortunately that was Crestwood’s only goal for the game and lost 4-1.

The goal was split by goalies

Patrick Croke and Magna. The third game played by the team

was against Wyoming Seminary on December 18th at Revolution Ice Center.

Harding began Crestwood’s scoring at the end of the first period with an assisted goal with Frisbie. The only goal in the second period by Crestwood was by Ryan Zielinski, assisted by Matthew Dopp.

The only Crestwood goal in the third period was by Dopp, assisted by Frisbie.

The team came up short with their three goals, being defeated 12-3.

The goal was tended by Croke who stopped 17 shots. The team is coached by Frank Govan and Tom Harding. Crestwood JV Hockey team enters the Christmas break with a record of 3-3.
